Works great, well made, sturdy and fits my laptop well. I purchased to get my work laptop off my desk and since I use it only during work hours I can move it out of my way when off work hours. It was easy to assemble but trying to figure out how to lower the arm was a little hard. The gas spring required a lot of force to get it to release the tension but once we figured that out it was good to go! It can be adjusted in many positions. I'm using for laptop but it's nice that they include the mount option for a monitor as well, not only does it enhance the value but increases the longevity of usage since it can be used for two purposes if I no longer want to use for a laptop.

Works extremely good the gas piston in there makes adjusting on the fly very easy and can view from an insane amount of angles. You can move it wherever you need it. Cable management is awesome as it has these protected sleeves to hide all of your cables. Love this and we'll be getting another for a second monitor.

See photo, the tension can be adjusted to hold objects of various weight, these make great textbook holders! When the tension is adjusted correctly you can move them around very freely but they are still stable. They can be adjusted to work with heavy or light books, between 11 inches and 19 inches wide when open.
I could see these being very very useful for a teacher who wanted to keep a textbook open at near eye level to reference while they are standing and lecturing or working on a whiteboard.Or anyone who would find it useful to reference a book while standing.

It works great.Make sure that the VESA mount doesn’t obstruct any of your input ports on the back of the monitor.
Also, if your input ports are facing downwards (towards the desk), and you don’t want any cords sticking out, order some L shaped (aka 90 degree) hdmi and power connectors so that they face back instead.
Lastly, in order to achieve this floating look, attach the mount to the left or the right side of your desk, instead of the middle. That way the space underneath the monitor is completely clear.

I had a 32" monitor and bumped my desk, and it fell and broke. I ordered a new one and wanted to make sure that never happened again. I looked at several, but this is the one I selected, and I'm glad I did. It is very easy to use and has two different mounting methods depending on what kind/thickness of your desk. I thought I ordered the wrong one when I looked at the back of my monitor, but the holes did line up, and I love that they gave two different lengths of screws and extra rubber spacers to ensure it fits tightly. Once you attach the arm to your desk and the bracket to your monitor, it is simple to slide the monitor onto the arm - and there is a screw to secure it. The gas spring is amazing - you can easily adjust the monitor in any direction (up, down, side to side, forward, backward) to find the perfect position, and it holds securely, and even if I bump my desk, I won't have to worry about the monitor falling. It looks clean, and for the price, this is a heck of a value.

This laptop/monitor arm is definitely a cut above the rest! This arm is incredibly sturdy and high quality, for once my laptop isn’t constantly falling down! I’ve had more than a few monitor arms most of which are not very posable, constantly fall, or just aren’t sturdy at all. This one is a high quality metal with powerful gas cylinders that hold it in place and it even includes hidden cable management.
If you’re looking for a permanent addition to your desk setup this is the perfect arm, works very well with my 15 inch macbook pro and these laptops have some weight to them. It did require some assembly for the base plate but this was surprisingly easy and took me no more than 5 minutes.
I primarily use a second larger monitor in my setup as a photographer and having a highly adjustable arm is a must for me so I can line up both screens. This arm even allows the laptop to be held at some extreme angles with an included strap. Overall super high quality and sturdy arm that actually stays in place!

Sturdy enough to trust it with my laptop. Overall, very solid with a pretty heavy clamping mechanism. There are also snap-on cord hiders, which is a great touch (haven't gotten to the cord management part yet, don't judge my photos).

I debated whether to buy this laptop holder. The 1-star reviews gave me reason to pause. Still, I thought, I could return it if it didn't meet expectations. I can report that this is a very good product. The materials are far more solid than I expected.
I am a handy gal and had no problem assembling the components. The instructions are very visual.
The arm adjustment was only a matter of a turn with the provided tool. My laptop is held securely in its current position (see photo).
I consider my home office a place where incremental efficiency improvements are worth the investment. This laptop holder may just be the last addition I will need.
