The suction power is quite strong. And it's automatically compressing once the real-time suction index is lower. A product like this can save me hundreds of breaking expensive camera equipment, why not. The customer service is responsive and very professional, as well.

I think this electric vacuum suction cup camera mount performed exceptionally well. I was surprised how well the 4.5 inch suction cup was nearly instantly secured when activated. Right out of the box, the battery was not fully charged but I was eager to test it out. With one click it auctioned to the surface and a double click opens the valve and it release immediately. There are small nubs to help removing the cup if you choose to do it manually. The suction still holds even when the unit is powered off. When it's powered on and adhered to a surface that isn't perfect, it will activate the vacuum until it reaches 100%. It will repeat this until the battery dies. There are plenty of mounting locations and mount types that can be used with this. All of the mounting locations and housing are made from one single piece of metal and feels solid. I would have to do a full stress test before I use a full setup but initial feelings are very postivie.

I’ve been using various vacuum suction cups throughout the years and many did not give me a good feeling - falling out, weak adhesion, don’t work with rough surfaces well, and etc.
But I’m incredibly impressed with the 4.5" Electric Vacuum Suction Cup Camera Mount! The build quality feels heavy-duty and robust, featuring a solid metal top plate packed with an array of 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes that make mounting everything from action cameras to larger rigs incredibly easy.
The digital screen is an absolute lifesaver, clearly showing live pressure stats (kPA) and battery life so you can drive with confidence knowing the seal is tight. It adheres seamlessly to glass surfaces like car windshields or central screens, and the automatic electronic vacuum pump ensures it maintains its strong grip continuously.
Thanks to the built quality, the unit is fairly bulky and heavy compared to standard manual suction cups, and the rubber base picks up dust and lint easily, which can compromise the seal if you don't keep it perfectly clean. Really good little suction cup mount. We have a number of other suction cups for camera and related gear. Some of them have a pump with a feedback mechanism and some do not. The better ones have a line on the pump to give feedback when they begin to lose suction. This is extremely useful to have visual feedback about whether the suction is still holding or not. Without that, you don't know the suction is getting weaker until it falls off. With the feedback line you can see when things are beginning to fail and address it. With this electric vacuum suction cup you also get the visual feedback but you also get something even better. You get a suction cup that will actually attempt to fix the suction issue itself. Now that's both cool and useful. It will monitor the suction using a percentage display. Once the suction drops to a certain level the suction cup will begin to pull more suction to return the level to acceptable levels again. It's all automatic and it certainly does work.
In tests this suction cup held a Sony mirrorless on a glass pane, completely vertical, for an overnight test without failure. When I returned the suction percentage was 91%. Not sure how many times it pumped suction to retain that level. The battery was still full so I don't think it did it many times, if at all. I would never use something like this with my cameras without thorough tests. This was just the first of many that I plan on performing.
This unit costs more than the bare minimum cheap suction cups, that is true. However, the better suction cups with feedback will usually be more expensive. In fact, a 4 1/2 inch quality suction cup is a comparable price. If I had to choose, I'd pick this unit every time just because of the active monitor system that also adjusts it's self to keep it in place. I'll need to run some additional tests to be sure but for now it seems durable, powerful, well made and effective. If the remaining tests continue to show similar and compelling results, these will become my go to suction cup mounts for future work.
This is a niche product that gives me confidence to attach my camera to the outside of my vehicle. Most suction mounts do not inspire much assurance that they will hold for any reasonable duration. In fact, I have never trusted one enough to put my SLR, or even my phone, on one of these mounts. This mount is different. It’s one of those, I wish I’d thought of that, items. I like the active technology it uses to monitor the suction applied to the cup and the mounting surface. In the case of a “slow leak”, it compensates by creating more suction. I like that it is IP56 rated, so it works in rain and wind won’t be an issue. It is rated for 11lbs while in motion at 55 mph, and up to 110 lbs. vertical static loading. This inspires confidence. I tested this on my workbench all day. I was unable to pull it loose. My workbench surface isn’t perfectly flat; it’s got seams and imperfections, and still the mount stayed put. This seal will be even better on my windshield or hood.
The motor is extremely quiet. The first time I used it, I did not hear the motor at all, and suddenly it was bonded to my glass table. The display is easy to read and understand. Its digital readout shows suction level, and a bar graph below it indicates battery power. Its display brightness is adequate, but it's hard to read in direct sunlight. This is not an issue if a little shade is applied. The construction is solid; it does not feel cheap or flimsy. The one thing that surprised me was its weight. It's 12.95 oz according to my scale. In general, there is no consequence for this extra weight; I think it adds to the high build quality.
It is super easy to operate. Press and hold the power switch down for a few seconds, press the unit onto the mounting surface, and briefly press the power switch again. In a few seconds, it will adhere to the surface. The suction readout should be at 100, if not a little downward pressure will insure a solid vacuum. To remove it, press one of the release tabs. The suction mount will still hold to a surface even if the battery is depleted.
I have several suction cup mounts for cameras and whatever you want to mount to a surface but they are all manual mounts. Push onto the window or smooth surface and the air gets pushed out of the suction portion and sticks. Want to remove the suction, just pull up on part of the rubber plastic suction and break the seal. Easy. I haven’t had any issues with this type of mount but I also haven’t mounted my expensive mirrorless camera to it either and have stuck with lighter action cameras.
Now comes this electric vacuum suction cup mount and now I have more confidence in mounting my more expensive mirrorless camera to a window or even the exterior of a car. With a 11 lb capacity, it easily will support heavier cameras with heavier lenses. What gives you the peace of mind is that it automatically continuously monitors the pressure (suction power) and automatically adds in more pressure (vacuum) to maintain maximum suction. Having a built in rechargeable battery that lasts for many days, it’s a must have for those who want that peace of mind knowing your suction cup will not fail. The only downfall of this suction cup is the price. It’s about 3 to 4 times the price of a regular suction cup mount but if you’re going to use this for an expensive camera it’s well worth the price.

Not only does it have great suction strength and grip, it also tightens when it feels its starting to loosen so you can have ease of mind that it won't fall off. The 1/4 thread is versatile so you can use a magic arm, shorter arms or use it in a mesh/system with more suction cups for a more heavy duty car rig. For version 2.0, I would like to see improvements to the "seal failure" or "loss of suction" alarm function: not only should the volume be increased, but it would also be ideal to allow users to customize the volume level. After all, there are times when one might accept a certain level of risk to capture a crucial shot; I want the alarm to be loud enough to cut through traffic noise so I can notice the issue in time and manually re-secure the equipment.

Great product but I couldn't attached anything because I didn't realize you have to buy the attachment too. So now I am waiting again for an order I placed last week for the attachments. When I saw the advert on this product there was no mention of extras which is required. So was a bit disappointed when it arrived and I couldn't use it.
